Newmont Golden Ridge Limited has been adjudged the overall best company, MTN the second best and Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) the third, in the 16th edition of the Ghana Club 100 (GC 100) awards organised by Ghana Investment and Promotion Centre (GIPC).
The award, which is aimed at introducing healthy competition amongst private sector players, saw Goldfields Ghana Ltd., Vivo Energy Ltd., and Unibank Ghana Limited follow in fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively.
Several other companies were acknowledged and awarded for their tireless efforts in contributing to the growth of the economy.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GIPC, Yofi Grant, in an address said: “We celebrate those who have toiled and against all odds built significant and fantastic businesses.”
He continued “We recognise that building a private business in Ghana is like running up a hill backwards and so for those of you who have survived, you definitely need to be celebrated.”
