Roberta Annan – a renowned global development consultant, impact investor and philanthropist –will be the youngest African to be inducted into the African Leadership Hall of Fame at the International Forum on African Leadership— an event sponsored by African Leadership Magazine. Coinciding with the United Nations General Assembly, the forum will provide a global platform to foster debate on building a strong and prosperous Africa. The event will take place at the St. Regis Hotel in New York, NY on September 22 beginning at 11 am and concluding at 3 pm.
“This is truly a great honor and I am so humbled by such a recognition. I hope my work will continue to inspire Young Leaders in Africa to focus on creating meaningful impact for the betterment of our Continent,” said Ms. Annan.

African Leadership Magazine UK recognizes the contribution of Young Africans to the growth and development of the continent, their ingenuity; entrepreneurial spirit and resilience have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the continent. The African Leadership Hall of Fame, is the Magazine’s selection of some distinguished Africans and friends of Africa, who have and are still contributing to the continent’s growth and development. Members of the Hall of fame are selected by the Magazine’s advisory board, after a painstaking selection process.

About Roberta Annan
Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Roberta has lived and worked on four continents and founded businesses including Roberta Annan Consulting and Frallain, a charity supporting the empowerment of women within the textile and fashion industry. Roberta is a Senior Advisor at the LJ Partnership and a founding partner of LJ Africa Advisors. Roberta is spearheading LJ Partnership’s strategy to deliver financial services and client solutions across Sub Saharan Africa.
Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Roberta worked for the United Nations where she raised funds and established formidable relationships with prominent individuals, government officials, and HNWI’s. While at the UN, Roberta worked in various capacities within different initiatives such as the South-South News, United Nation Development Program (UNDP) – Community and Adaptation Learning Mechanism, United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID).
Roberta holds a Masters degree (summa cum laude) in Biotechnology from Georgetown University and received a Bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. More recently she enrolled in the Program For Leadership Development at the Harvard Business School.
